Books we read, January 2nd

Reid was in a contrary mood tonight. Ken offered to read to her when she first came home but she wanted to watch Toopy and Binoo. After her 10 minutes of vegging in front of the tv (c’mon she has just started in a new class at daycare, she deserved a short couch potato interlude), she was still uninterested in reading. Or playing with her train or any other toy, actually. I started to read Stranger in the Woods: A photographic fantasy by Carl R. Sams but Reid was so fidgety that I finally gave up. As we headed upstairs for bed, I realized that we hadn’t read a single book to Reid today. We were up late and rushed this morning and so there were no stories on the potty, she never had a potty break after daycare and before bed (thank goodness for Dora diapers) and all of a sudden it was bedtime. I couldn’t report no books on this second day and so I made sure to read:

It’s important to be conscious of what we do. Reading is something I must be conscious of doing with Reid.
