Books we read, January 4th

Reid isn’t concerned about the time-appropriateness of books. We started our day with Caillou Good Night by Christine L’heureux. We tackled Winnie the Pooh Friendly Stories (Disney Musical Treasury) by Guy Davis after daycare. We’ve had the book for quite a while but it is difficult to get Reid to listen to the storie when that enticing yellow button is just begging to be pushed so that we can listen to the Winnie the Pooh song. There are four stories in the book: Hunting for Honey, Tigger’s Discovery, Fun & Games with Pooh and Pooh’s Egg-citing Adventure and Reid listened to them all and only pushed the button a few time. I didnt know the words to the song before we got this book but the words are in it. For the record, they are:

Winnie the Pooh, Winnie the Pooh
Tubby little cubby all stuffed with fluff.
He’s Winnie the Pooh, Winnie the Pooh,
Willy nilly silly old bear.

We also read Pocoyo and the Toppling Tower (no author), which is a lift the flaps book. Reid has loved flap books for a long time and is getting better at being gentle with them.

Reid tried to talk me into reading Sweet Sucess: A Story about sharing by Jacquline A. Ball but my throat was so sore and there are so many words, all of them about Cinderella. I am just not one of her fans.
