Books we read, March 6th

Reid was up by 5:30 this morning and so we had lots of time to read before getting busy with our day:

• Beans on Toast - Paul Dowling, Reid always laughs at the “beans on legs” picture of the boy carrying an enormous armload of beans though she isn’t keen on the brown beans that they will be turned into;
• Love and Kisses, Kitty by Max Haynes, another Valentine’s Day book that is still hanging around;
• I’ll Always Come Back by Steve Metzger, about a little girl at school but Reid sees it as daycare and we both take comfort in the reassurance that mamas and babies always get together at the end of the day;
• Many more letter books in the ABC Box from Discovery Toys; and
• Clifford’s Puppy Days by Norman Bridwell, twice, at Melissa’s.

At bedtime we read:

• Baby Einstein Cats by Julie Aigner-Clark, a little book that we carried in our diaper bag for a long time;
• Good Night, Little One: A lift-the-flap book by Salina Yoon, a quick and comforting read; and
• I recited Benny’s Bus (no author) three times with Reid supplying some words for me.
