It’s too bad that she makes strange - not
April 7, 2007 by Barbara.
We left our hotel about 8:30 Friday morning and got to Grandma Joyce’s, oh excuse me, my mom’s place about 11:00. Aunt Karin came to the garage and got Reid from the car. Reid had many tight squeezes and kisses as they walked into the house. Grandma Joyce was also the recipient of hugs and kisses. Aunt Karin commented that it’s sad that Reid makes strange but she wasn’t telling the truth.
After a dip in the hot tub, Reid and I had a big nap in the afternoon. Both of us fell asleep quickly and slept deeply. When Reid woke up she said that she wanted some water, I told her we’d go to the kitchen and get some. ”No,” she said, “you go get it by yourself.” Reid can be bossy. I think she gets it from her Daddy. When I got to the kitchen I saw that Melissa, Roy, Dylan and Zachary were sitting in the living room. I hurried back to tell Reid. She was excited to know that Dylan and Zach’y were there. Melissa had told Dylan that they would go in the hot tub. When we asked Reid if she wanted to go in again, she responded by peeling off her clothes. She didn’t even protest about her cold, wet bathing suit. I wimped out and got a dry suit. She is tougher than me.
After supper, Dylan, Reid and Melissa got back into the hot tub and Grandma Joyce, Auntie M and I went to Windsor to see the house that Brianna and George bought. My bum was numb by the time we got back but it was nice to see the house and their pride in it. Uncle Roger stayed with Reid. At bedtime, he took Reid to our bedroom and went to lay with her. She told him to go to the living room and she would take care of it herself. She noticed a blanket that she didn’t like and told him to take it with him. Uncle Roger waited in the hall and when it was quiet, went to the living room. 15 minutes later, Reid was asleep.
