Books we read, April 17th

Ken started the day with the tongue-twister [1] Fox in Socks by [2] Dr Seuss. At the end of it, he said that it was far too early for such a book. I skillfully snuck it out of the bathroom and put it on a high shelf. I don’t think we need to read it again anytime soon. We also read:

[3] My Car by [4] [6] Byron Barton;
[5] Machines at Work by [4] [6] Byron Barton; and
[7] Freight Trains by [8] Donald Crews.

I pulled a bunch of books off of our shelf this afternoon. We’ve been reading library books lately and I have missed the tried-and-true but not Ken. When I gave him a couple, he asked why we would read ones that we’ve read so many times. So, I read:

[9] Alpha Bugs by [10] David A Carter;
[11] Jesse Bear, What Will You Wear? by [12] Nancy White Carlstrom;
[13] But Not the Hippopotamus by [14] Sandra Boynton;
[15] I Love You as Much by [16] Laura Melmed; and
[17] Time for Bed by [18] Mem Fox.
