Reid and I went out for breakfast with Aunty Amanda but first we read:
- Deep in the Jungle by Dan Yaccarino, a tale of bossiness that involves a lion that eats people. Since we’re planning to go to the San Diego Zoo and I imagine that there are lions there, we won’t read it again; and
- Moose Tracks! by Karma Wilson and illustrated by Jack E. Davis. We have liked Bear Snores On for many months and enjoyed Bear Stays Up for Christmas. This story has different characters but has the same bounce and energy.
At Grandmama’s house, we read:
- Ella Sarah Gets Dressed by Margaret Chodos-Irvine, read by Daddy, twice, at least. Ken doesn’t like books that are repetitive and Ella Sarah is very much so. He doesn’t let this opinion stand between Reid and her chosen books, though;
- Knuffle Bunny: A cautionary tale by Mo Willems, twice, a book that made Grandmama smile but it could have been that Ken was reading it.
We were in the car just before naptime and again at bedtime and so we didn’t read any stories before sleeping.
