A junior now
Reid spent all of last Friday in the Junior Preschool class although she didn’t officially change classes until January 2nd. She has been doing really well with the switch. In the morning when I dropped her off in her new classroom, she went straight to the reading nook and picked up a book. As I was leaving, she gave me a kiss but didn’t really look at me. I told her to have a good day and she looked up - her bottom lip was out and wobbly and her eyes had tears in them. Wow, it was hard on my mama heart to say, “Have a fabulous day!” and walk away.
At the end of the day, the teacher said Reid had had a good day and Reid was smiling. On our way home, Reid announced, “My a junior now.” It’s true. She is getting to be a big fish in her little daycare pond.
