We started our day with A Very Busy Spider by Eric Carle, once to hear the words and once to pay special attention to the spider web getting more and more complete.
We also read:
- The Magic Hat by Mem Fox, which has a Seussian rhythm to it;
- A Prairie Alphabet by Jo Bannatyne-Cugnet, with beautiful illustrations and words that are so apt in describing life on the prairies;
- This is the House That Was Tidy and Neat by Teri Sloat, at the brand new library that has very few books;
- Where is Your Smile Crocodile? by Claire Freedman, given the number of times we’ve read this book, I think that purchasing it might be a good idea;
- Weve All Got Bellybuttons! by David Martin, Reid will do the actions that accompany the body part identification and then I get to tickle her belly; and
- My “a” Book, by Jane Belk Moncure, many times over. The book is pretty thin on plot but Reid was picking it up and handing it to me or Ken at every turn.
